Share review of West Berkshire Community Hospital
I phoned the minor injuries unit in the morning as I had sustained a left foot injury the day before and was concerned as I was having difficulty walking and putting weight on the foot.
I was provided an appointment later in the day (Monday) and although there was a slight delay, this did not cause me any issues.
I was seen by [name removed] who initially met me at the door, introduced herself and made sure I was okay, I was using crutches. [name removed]'s friendly and pleasant manner put me at ease straight away, she took time to listen to me, and explained things in a clear and unambiguous way. I felt I was listened to and left at the end of the appointment feeling I had been involved in the session, expressing my views, and explaining in full what had happened. All my questions were answered in full. I was informed, should things take a turn for the worse, I was to arrange another appointment.
I really liked the fact I was able to book an appointment at a minor injuries unit, negating the time left waiting in a room to be seen,,,, for hours in previous experiences.
The facilities were clean and what I would describe as welcoming.
Keep up the great work!
