The stress of battling to get timely review appointments is exhausting and has exacerbated my physical symptoms. One and a half years after commencing treatment here? Treatment not worked, can no longer work, relationship with my daughter has suffered, struggling to care for my 90 year old mum and uncle who has Parkinson's, taking antidepressants. I have tried and tried and tried but conclude I am a burden to my family. Lots of great reviews but sadly I have nothing good to say.
A&E staff very professional and include me in decisions made and explained the next stages of transfer to the Walton Centre. MRI completed within two hours of arriving and results avaliable to doctors/consultants. Handing over to Walton Centre very efficient and staff know exactly who and what to expect. Ward and Bay staff very welcoming, caring, considerate, compassionate and professional. Having been accessed with a number of posibilities of what was wrong, made comfortable and very well looked after and reassured. Second doctor/consultant - I received mixed messages and decisions not explained. I got the feeling he just want to get me into surgery without even considering me. I would wish for patients to be shown scans/MRI images as a way to talk through the prognosis being given. Finally saw another consultant who wanted me to go to surgery without two days later without any real discussion or interaction. I refused and requested the consultant who has looked after me previously. Thank God my request was granted to my relief. I saw a wonderful physio who lifted my spirits and gave me hope I would recover full eventually. We went through all excerises I had been doing at home and he help give me more exercises and showed me how to adapt them with spinal injury. Specialist nurses very understanding and caring especially when others do not have time to answer your questions. Specialist nurse answered many questions and worries I had. She was very kind and reassuring. Thank you for the hug! Thank you to all nursing staff and everyone on floor 1. I now have to attend clinic and talk about major spinal operation I will have to have in the very near future. I will report back with additional feedback when completely well.
The staff pre-procedure were excellent, faultless in fact. The day staff on the ward post-procedure ward were again faultless. However, the night staff on the post-procedure ward let down their colleagues. They were inattentive and seemingly unconcerned about my needs. That was a great shame, spoiling what would have been a glowing recommendation.
I can’t really express how impressed I and my family were with the Walton Centre. The friendliness and helpfulness of staff throughout from outpatient clinics to the ward and those in between was just great. Whilst on the ward, the mix and diversity of staff seems to really work well in particular the age mix. All bases were covered: the clinical/technical aspects, hygiene, emotional/social needs etc. It was lovely to see how staff of all ages work in harmony. An absolute positive contrast to previous experiences I have had.
Doctors and nurses excellent. Only downside felt ward floor could of been cleaner
The staff on Caton Ward where both helpful and considerate during my stay there and have nothing but praise and gratitude to them all . Many thanks .
Very caring and brilliant staff both clinical and non clinical.
Good doctors and surgeons
I have been cared for at Walton neurology centre since 2000. Although staff caring for me has changed from time to time, I have never felt the need to complain. Every member of staff whether I was an in patient or out patient has been extremely professional and caring. I have always felt 100% satisfied with my care at Walton neurology centre.
Nothing to say apart from the worth treatment that I ever received in my entire life.
And that statement coming from an African who suffered badly in that hospital.
Enough said.,
