The service provided at this hospital was exceptional. All members of the Staff were very friendly and provided a first class service whenever required. Every patient was treated with respect.

The hospital staff work so hard and most are very friendly and helpful. The staff that have treated me and my family are always trying their best, sometimes under hard conditions. This hospital is let down by its parking. There is never enough, the traffic blocks ambulances trying to get to A&E and I have often been late or rushing to appointments due to trying to park despite leaving over an hour early! Also think it's so over priced to park there. This would be less of a problem if the money actually went to the hospital but I believe a private company runs it!

Pre and post operative care was excellent. Caring nursing staff and excellent ICU staff. Although I had major surgery, I was cared for my expert professionals.

I was treated in A&E by Christine Wannis yesterday - I had pushed a green bin down a slope in the garden and fallen bashing one side of my face and cutting my lip. Christine treated me with the utmost respect checking my teeth and jaw then explaining exactly what needed to be done in a clear friendly manner. She injected my lip with anaesthetic and cleaned the wound carefully. She then put stitches in with great efficiency and afterwards explained that they would dissolve and how I should massage the scar when it's all healed. I felt very reassured being treated by Christine. All other staff including a nurse called Becky were very caring and professional. Thank you very much for excellent and prompt care.

The clinical staff were all good. 2 car park machines were out of order and the 3rd was not taking cards. This caused delay and frustration especially with a small child. Main X-ray reception needs better signing to avoid inappropriately accessing clinical areas especially with a child. It is good that there is a dedicated paediatric A/E dept and clinic but a dedicated paediatric theatre could avoid paediatric admissions overnight for simple manipulation of a displaced fracture. This would be preferable for the family and use less resources. Electronic records should mean one does not have to give the same information 4 times. Discharge information should contain follow up advice such as going to X-ray before clinic and that the request form is electronic. Non clinical reception staff should know this or at least be able to understand what is on the discharge summary. I mean this to be taken constructively

The car park needs some serious improvement - there must be a number of patients stressed and flustered before appointments is just silly.

Excellent care at all levels. My daughter stayed on Ward 15/ 16 after a few episodes of surgery late last year. Amy, the domestic, was wonderful and the catering lead was generous, kind and good fun too. Their professionalism and kindness will be remembered as much as the clinical care that was also excellent. To improve, procedures for noise after 7pm should be agreed. Shoes, phones, doors, lights. It's work for the night teams, but bed time for paediatric patients! Shift changes were so noisy and they shouted goodbyes and hellos up and down the ward!

Everything about my brief stay at the St Cross Hospital, Rugby was of outstanding quality. The operation was a complete success, the care and attention I received during my stay were of the highest quality, in all respects - efficiency, courtesy, understanding and medical care.
