Attended Ward 22 in Coventry today 15/1/23 at 0830hrs with 91yr old father with nasty abscess that needed urgent surgery. EVERY single member of staff we dealt with, from the young man and nurse who signed us onto Ward 22 to the nurse who checked over my father and talked us through the process to the Surgeon himself, his Nursing Physicians and the Nurse who signed us out with Meds and report - were all attentive intelligent professional kind informative reassuring polite caring and efficient. EXCELLENT. It is the administrative structure of the NHS, the centralisation/ closure of A&E wards, the part time GP surgeries only open daytime 4.5 days a week and 111 (who are risk averse and send everyone to A&E - in an ambulance) - who are bringing the NHS down. Ultimately the Government - need to spend time on the ground talking to staff - not in their Westminster offices - to understand where the problems lie, because it is certainly not with their underpaid overworked and dedicated NHS hospital staff and Ambulance Service.

Over busy, staff over worked. But the care is amazing. only had good experiences with medical staff. when non-medical management are involved, things go wrong. most staff in the hospital are caring and understanding even under some very stressful conditions.

My husband has been trying to access your appointment scheme and booked a slot for 12pm today. However, it asked for a password which he couldn't remember. He applied to change his password which wouldn't work either. I tried to ring the number several times - cut off after ringing every time. Tried to contact switchboard directly, no answer, just cut off after your 'allocated time.' Emailed too, had notification that it's not monitored 24 hours, it seems it's not monitored at all..... What a joke the NHS has become! Inefficiency rules it seems

My husband was informed in a and e he would need to be admitted following a tia .He was sat in a and e from 12 pm until 12.30 am.Offered no drink or food and he is on controlled drugs these were not given. After a ct scan he was transferred to ward 12 he had no identification band on.By 9.30 am still had not been offered medication and by 12.30 was told sorry other tests can't happen its been handed to cardio team basically go home.He has had two mini strokes a dvt and a diseased artery and was not put on blood thinners.Im absolutely furious they took him fir tests done bloods put a cannula in and still had no I'd band on.He could not walk properly was off balance and had to make his way to the outside of the hospital with his bag for a lift home and not one nurse hca offered to walk him dow.If it turns out that he has another stroke I will take this terrible excuse of a hospital to the cleaners and back.Ward 12 have no care or compassion and the Dr's are rude no discharge summary no nothing there a joke of a hospital.Im disgusted and should we need a hospital again it will be a hospital not too far from Coventry cause if you rely on uhcw you won't get any care.Dread to think how many people die as a result of there disgusting care
