On the whole, I have experienced what I would call an excellent service. However, there are reservations present in my understanding of the mental health PICU sections. To my mind, I have been somewhat disappointed by the actions of certain members of staff who I have come to know. They appear not to be qualified to do the job of mental health nursing

1. All staff should be at least competent in their ability to do their service to patients 2. The food has been excellent however on certain occasions, it has proven to be almost inedible. This does not reflect on any of the serving staff. 3. Group activities have been excellent 4. My one disappointment is that the hospital has a nonsmoking policy. When patients presenting with certain conditions are necessary to remain calm need from time to time access to smoking.
