My experiences with Lewisham has never been very good. One clinic I was actually at the nurses had a loud argument in the waiting room about whose clinic was and who was in charge. I would not voluntarily go there now. I will request to go to King's College Hospital. Not sure how successful I would be but I will try my hardest. Not sure if it is true but I was told by a very balanced friend that the paramedics do not like taking patients there
On any visit and throughout my stay, all staff were very friendly and helpful. The overall cleanliness of the hospital was also excellent.
Received fantastic team from Orthopedic team prior to and on operation day and post op. Cedar ward staff were all phenomenal, compassionate and professional. Thank you All. E
I had an accident on a bus in which I was squashed between the closing doors yesterday.
I went to Lewisham Hospital today after been in pain all day and night.
I saw a Nurse Practitioner who told me that its just muscle pain that I was experiencing.
She said if I didn't lose control of my bladder or bowel then it's not serious.
I know for a fact that its nerve pain, not because I am walking and haven't lost control of my bodily fluids doesn't mean it's not serious
I had double laminectomy surgery in the past, due to compress vertebrae so I know what nerve pain feels like.
The NHS told me back then that it was just a bit of arthritis in my spine and they refused to give me an MRI scan for two years, by the time I had surgery I had suffered for three years.
I will be seeking private health care.
I had surgery on the 14th of March and the care i had from my surgeon and the staff afterwards on Cedar ward was amazing they couldnt do enough for me they are a credit to the NHS.
The hospital staff that was looking after me were most helpful and caring.
The whole of the fracture clinic staff were excellent and so helpful and clear. The plaster room wonderful.
The German anaesthetist gave me huge confidence in having spinal injection.
Larch ward was good except at night when, with a few notable exceptions, the night shift were incredibly noisy. More than one nurse said this was a perennial problem: why? The matron seemed to think it was new news - it wasnt.
I filled n a feed back form on all the GREAT nurses in Larch. There were a few disinterested ones and I hope shortages of staff will not make this even worse.
I will never forget the huge skill, empathy and kindness I experienced in A and E.
Transport staff great but G4 have terrible time keeping - not enough staff?
The care I received was excellent
From the moment I went in for my surgery all the staffs I encountered where kind, friendly, helpful and professional. I was glad it was Lewisham hospital.
Administration and appointments can be a bit disorganised but the clinical, surgical and therapeutic provision is excellent.
