Hi booked in for intimate procedure - I had previously cancelled the same procedure last year. All the staff at Stamford were really sensitive to my concern about undergoing the procedure. My wife was allowed to stay with me, it was explained that she would not be allowed in the room with me during the procedure and why. I was reassured about procedure and the competence of the consultant and the nurses who would be attending, why I was having the procedure, how long it would take. Everything was fully explained and everyone took time to listen to my concerns and fears. My wife and I were shown to the family waiting room and Suzanne - the nurse - looked in on several occasions to check how I was during the wait to see the consultant.
During the procedure the consultant kept me informed of what was happening to me and showed me what he was seeing and what would happen next.
Despite it being 17.30 when my 'exam' finished Suzanne came to check that I was okay and even offered to make me a cup of tea and told me what would be happening next, she did not let me leave the ward until she was happy that I was okay.
10 out of 10 Stamford Hospital.
- Thorough inspections and great concern for the patient.
- Kind and friendly manner.
- Best out of hours care we have ever received.
After having flu both of my ears blocked up. My GP would only do a referral to be taken up in a week's time to another medical centre. I could not work properly as I could hear my customers, if I do not work I do not get paid.
I had visitors stopping for Christmas and could not interact with any conversation.Today there is a pounding of my blood in my ears and almost total loss of hearing. I phoned the Peterborough clinic and appointment was made with Stamford Hospital straight away. What a relief!
First to arrive to the reception that wasn't helpful, came out half an hour later to see if we ask the doctor to see my other daughter whose AP was was later on, well not up to us to ask Doc Cunning had time to fit my other daughter in, but had o wait 1 and a half to her App. None of them drive. No buses so no alternative but to wait. NHS joke, Government joke need more staff. 2/1/2016.
The lady on reception fitted me in with a doctor straight away.
Received good advice. Happy with GP.
Receptionist very kind. Found toys for my daughter to play with. Had to wait 1.5 hrs to be seen. Very busy.
Prompt, professional and well managed.
All good.
Seen quickly, ladies at the reception very happy!
