On entering the room with the doctor my partner (whom I wanted in the room with me) is claustrophobic asked if she could leave the door open or ajar and was told quite abruptly no by the doctor. My partner then had to leave. No compassion was shown to my partner or myself as the patient. I was in lots of pain with a swelling in my mouth and even though I explained that a doctor had suggested I come to the hospital as this was the best place to have it lanced and drained, the doctor did not seem interested. I left feeling extremely dissatisfied with the whole experience and still very much in pain. Also my partner has never ever been refused to be able to keep a door open by another doctor and has always been treated with respect regarding her.
