I was treated by Mary Brown (I believe?) who did a wonderful job at normalising my situation. She had a vast amount of knowledge and understood my circumstance without me having to explain in excess about a congenital condition (unlike other appointments I've had elsewhere) and she spoke to me with care and sincerity. She went above and beyond, making me feel comfortable and at ease, was very thorough with her work explaining the process in a casual yet informative manner, and with such positive attitude it really left a mark and made me want to recommend and return to Barts, if the occasion ever arose. Prior to being seen by her, the other staff members I made contact with were also cheery and made me feel like a person, not an object with a problem. I really truly appreciate the service and duty of care provided at Barts and commend the staff greatly. The website booking was simple, easy and efficient, and my only improvement from the whole experience would be to make the online booking process perhaps a bit clearer. I undervalued what could have been a symptom and would have benefited from a short note of "if in doubt opt for this service". I say this because while I only had to wait 10 minutes to be seen from my appointed time, it was the wrong booking and had to wait up to an hour to be seen again by the correct service. However, that being said, I'm grateful there was space to see me that day with a fairly reasonable waiting time (compared to others I've experienced and lost half a day) and I appreciate the extra work taken on by staff memebers due to my mishap. Barts went above and beyond my expectations, having been the best Sexual Health service I have experienced to date
