Great facility and professionals work here, received great care, help and advice
I had breast surgery at spire hospital Portsmouth last week 22/12/20 and had a wonderful experience here. I was well looked after, and the nurses were all so lovely in helping me feel relaxed.
The anaesthetist team were great, and made me feel calm and that I was in safe hands. Even when I woke up. I remember “guy” as I woke up and his cheery mood instantly made me smile .
Well done spire hospital. I will definitely use you agsin should I need to.
Doctors were arrogant and condescending.
Nurses were very kind and friendly.
This is an amazing hospital with amazing staff.
I would highly recommend this hospital for any treatment and care.
Everyone I met was very caring and I felt very well looked after by everyone concerned with my care. Would highly recommend.
Felt very safe
I have only been an outpatient at the Spire Hospital Portsmouth since 2016 but over several years, when I have been an inpatient, I found that the service had deteriorated considerably. Back in 1999 the nursing staff were BUPA nurses but since then they all seem to be agency staff so there was little or no continuity and I rarely saw the same nurse twice. This was in direct contrast to the Nuffield Hospital in Chichester where all the staff were Nuffield nurses.
On one occasion at the Spire Hospital Portsmouth I occupied three different rooms during a short stay and when I asked for a shower I was taken to yet another room as my room only had a bath; there had also been a flood in another bathroom.
The staff at the Spire are outstanding.
Professor Mellor saw me last week and reassured me completely about my ongoing cancer care. Explained things clearly in a clear, kindly way so that I know exactly what to expect when treated in the near future. This week that appointment was quickly followed up with an appointment to carry out the procedure!
Amazing, that after months of waiting and worrying that St Mary’s Dermatology has planned all needed treatment and acted so quickly on getting my problems solved. Hearty thanks to all the staff involved!
As far as I’m concerned, the Covid crisis was handled excellently by QA and we are so lucky to have such caring, helpful professionals looking after us, following up the delayed treatments so we are not so fearful. My only problem, as always, is the ability to park at St Mary’s!! As long as I have early appointments, I can park! Understand the lack of space, but when you’re going there for treatment, the stress of parking does not help.
A well organised and clean hospital. Covid measures are in place and efficient. Staff are lovely.
