Even though I was unwell I still thought the staff here were very caring
I brought my 4yr old child with a cut to his forehead. He was very scared and unsure.
We were checked in quickly and then seen by a nurse promptly. The nurse was very kind and took her time with my child. She was completely understanding of his anxiety and of how scared he was. When it came to treating his cut she brought a 2nd nurse in to assist. Again, she was fantastic with my son, letting him watch his favourite cbeebies programme to help relax him and put him at ease. We couldn't have asked for any more.
Care excellent .
I am in awe of how hard you all work and feel sad our NHS is so underfunded and is struggling under the pressures , in part due in my opinion to years of underfunding.
Thank you
Although the wait was 5 hours when I did see the dr everything was professional caring empathetic and inclusive of my thoughts- absolutely excellent
The service was quick and kept me informed of everything.
Seem and treated quickly and with respect

The telephone calls was very good answered all my questions very professional etc
Initially on arrival to A&e my son received little support but once into a cubical the HCA jade and dr Israel did everything in their power to make my son feel better, stop crying and treat him with the respect and care he deserved.
Overall my experience at Scunthorpe a&e on Saturday was appalling. Not only for me but for everyone else waiting there. Considering it wasn't overly busy with them having staggered times now. It took about an hour to be seen by the triage nurse and about 4 hours to be seen by an actual doctor. Which let me tell you when you're in excruciating pain is not ideal!! I have been to the emergency department before covid and it was heaving and I still got seen quicker than I did this time round! Even the children weren't getting seen to within 3 hours or less. One woman was discharged with a broken leg and was not given crutches to get around with. It was just overall a terrible experience and there was no compassion or sympathy from the staff.
Everything was fine down to the waiting to actually being seen
