Considering how busy the department was my daughter was very well looked after.
The wait time was extremely long considering we were told to take an ambulance for our 1 year olds head injury. It was over an hour and a half before anyone even looked at her while I sat panicking trying to keep her awake in the waiting room.
Short wait at emergency department
Quick check and x Ray.
Review very good. Again, not a long wait after being since the first time around
Friendly staff
Clean.
Covid safe
All checks done well
Staff went above and beyond they noticed I was a young worried adult by myself (as I was told nobody was allowed to stay due to the pandemic) so regular came over to check I was on while sat in the waiting room. As soon as I deteriorated they offered me a room by self where I could relax and not feel as anxious they truly went above and beyond
Was treated very well by staff
Reception staff were courteous and helpful
I received immediate help. I was treated with respect and professionalism.
I was treated with respect and full professionalism.
Dealt with quickly and everything explained
I arrived at Grimsby a&e with an ankle injury in which I was carrying a bag with a boot that I have been given days before and an ankle that was quite visibly swollen and bruised. I was walking on crutches and could not put any weight on the foot, when I arrived there was a queue to get into a&e, completely understandable in the current climate. The walk to a&e itself for someone with an ankle injury was ridiculous, luckily a gentleman squired a wheelchair and dropped me off. I was then left to stand balancing on one leg for over 25 minutes. Breaks and injuries then got called through and I had to wait a further 15 minutes to get into a&e. By this point my whole body was shaking and I was crying out with pain due to having my whole body weight on one foot for this amount of time with a very clear ankle injury. Countless members of staff passed me in this state and did not offer any help, once I got through to a&e luckily again another kind gentleman rushed a chair to me as he could see how much I was struggling. I was shocked that I had been left in this condition. I then had to get myself to the fracture clinic which is another long walk. By the time I got there I was absolutely exhausted and shocked at the lack of support that had been offered to me. It was clear that I was suffering badly and the lack of compassion from staff members in a&e was shocking. Staff in the fracture clinic were very helpful and understanding.
