All the staff were extremely helpful and caring making our a&e visit calming and reassuring.

Nothing the care was completely outstanding from the first responders, paramedics, nurses, hca and doctors everyone was understanding and compassionate and reassuring nothing more could be improved

All consultants were kind & understanding of my fears. Stacey & Wendy on ward 28 was fantastic ,spending time with me & putting me at ease. All the menu choices were very well presented.
Suggested improvements
A&E took a long time giving pain medication.

Nurses and radiologists (providing that is the corrwct terminology for the people in X-ray department) were absolutely spot on timely manner upmost professionalism and very informative, the receptionist i spoke with had poor communication however this changed once A&E started getting busier
Suggested improvements
The only recommendation that I have based upon my most recent visit is I feel the x-ray department should have had cups available for the water machine given it was 25+ Celsius outside. I didnt need a drink as i always try to take a drink with me to hospital but it would have been nice to see some cups should anybody desire a drink in the heat that we are currently experiencing.

Wasn’t good at communication, no one was telling me anything, doctor walked out without telling me what’s wrong and when I asked him to come back he looked annoyed, which made me feel uncomfortable. He didn’t prepare me enough when he gave me an anal exam. They put a cannula in my arm for no reason, and when I was panicking about it, the nurse told me to “man up” which did not make me feel comfortable at all, and I felt quite disrespected. The nurse taking the dressing off my arm after they told me I don’t need a cannula in, she was very aggressive and I was screaming to stop, she didn’t. Which lead to more bruising than needed. I’m not bruised around my cannula, just where she aggressively took the plasters off.
