Everyone was lovely after the car accident I was very shaken and shocked the triage nurse was totally understanding and then the doctor took his time to check me over and give me advice couldn’t have asked for a better service you should be very proud of your new facility and the staff in it

Suggested improvements

When a patient arrives in pain, they should not have to request further pain relief. Nor should they be given significantly less than what they can take at home.

Suggested improvements
Offered pain relief

I was admitted at 18.30 on Wednesday evening. I was not offered anything to eat or drink until breakfast on Thursday. I spent all night on a trolley with a thin blanket. Asked for a pillow several times but never got one. I could walk with assistance and asked the nurse to walk me to the toilet. She said “Use the bottle then I don’t have to take you”. I used the bottle twice later and it was never emptied or taken away despite asking people to do so. The stroke consultant said it was an ENT issue and referred me to them saying a doctor would come and see me. No one came and I was discharged after being told that an ENT outpatient appointment would be made for me. No one ever looked in my ears. My discharge letter was signed by a geriatric dept doctor who had never seen me.

Suggested improvements
When I had my blood pressure checked in the night, I think it was every couple of hours, the machine was always left turned on and it starts bleeping after a few minutes and can’t get to sleep. Turning it off should be part of the procedure. I should have been fed and watered.

Please label the glass screen in reception From the triage to consultant and x ray staff I was very impressed with their compassion and speed of service. It was noticeable how none of the staff spoke “down” to me or were impatient with me despite their obvious huge workload. Mr.Malik was exceptionally professional and worked with speed and obvious compassion Thanks to all at SGH

Suggested improvements
The glass partition in reception are could be labelled and hot drinks would be good
