Overall my treatment was good.
Even though the NHS were under pressure , every member of your staff that dealt with me from reception to consultants to nurses were fantastic especially Mel.
Thank you all.
Efficient and timely treatment. All medical practitioners were very professional and thorough.
Lisa, the triage nurse was brilliant. The reception team were great and Dr Khan also was very good.
I was incredibly disappointed that the urology doctor on call refused to come in and support.
Ive decided to cancel my appointment with urology now and keep my appointment at Newcastle as I've lost faith
We waited in A&E for nearly 4 Hours with my 2 year old son who has febrile convulsions his temp was 39.6 we couldn’t get it down he usually has a few seizures with a high temp and we waited was not seen at all by a doctor before taking ourselves home. We told the staff we was going home they told us to wait we waited another hour still nothing.

I was sent to A&E by my GP accompanied by a letter from my GP as he thought my wound needed surgically cleaned something the practice could not do. After a 3hour wait I was called into see the triage nurse, she asked questions about how this wound occurred but made no attempt to take a look at , my wife informed the nurse there was an accompanying letter stating why I was at the department, she did not have the letter and made no attempt to retrieve the letter for the information, I was then sent back into the waiting room, 3 hours later I was finally called in to a cubicle, a nurse, (dressed in black) asked how he could help, again no idea of what the letter said that accompanied me, , my wife showed him a picture of the wound which she had on her phone, he asked if he could show this to a colleague (in hindsight this could have been anyone's leg),when he came back he told me that his colleague had agreed with him that the tissues viability team should come to see this, still no one had taken the dressing off to actually see my wound, he asked us to take a seat back out in the waiting room until they came, I waited another hour approximately when the same nurse came out into the waiting room with x2 boxes of antibiotics in hand, he explained to take these as prescribed, continue to use the GP nurse for dressing and he would refer me Dean Pickwell to the iron stone centre wound clinic and to wait for an appointment to come
through and that was that, he said if i developed any temperature, discomfort or swelling to come straight back.
To be totally honest I felt really let down mainly because NO one had made an effort to even look at my leg as I was lend to believe they would,
