Fantastic new A&E. Went Sunday around 7
to out of hours GP. Waited around 2 hours
From start to finish although not as busy
as I imagine it is during the week.Found 2
hours acceptable as there was a few children
beening seen so I don't mind waiting for them.
All the staff from reception to the triage nurse
to the doctor I was seen by. You were all brilliant
and you should be proud of yourselves .
Great teamwork
I had to wait for 6 hours to see a doctor.
Older people and young babies were also having to wait. I found the whole experience traumatic
Can’t fault the doctor she was brilliant
It all appears to be new,fit for purposes and well staffed with professional NHS staff.
However , there are plenty of signs indicating that the old A&E was closed, NO ENTRY,ETC.But there are no signs over the new A&E indicating what it is. Me and two other injured persons walked straight passed the entrance. Come on!!! It won't take much to move the signage.
My 7 year old daughter broke her arm. The staff were really lovely with her, they kept her informed made sure she wasn’t in any pain, kept her at ease and dealt with us in a very professional and timely manner. The new A&E department at Scunthorpe is very clean and well organised.
The care I had was very good and it was easy talking to the doctors
We was in A&E for over 5 hours, got there around 8.20pm and left at around 1.30am.. which is too long especially when it is my 4yo who was waiting to be seen..
However the nurse & doctor we saw were great, really helpful and good with my daughter.
Staff were friendly and informative the procedure was performed quickly and diligently.
Staff were clearly under pressure but maintained their professional standards whole time. I was in the dept 9 hrs.
Great care nice staff
