Everything is good, service is very helpful.
Sometimes when I get told I would receive a call I didn't but most of the team were excellent.
We apologise for this as it is not what we would wish for our service users to experience. All staff have been reminded that they must make contact with service users where there has been agreement to do so. If there is an unexpected absence which means they cannot make the contact, they must advise their colleagues to ensure that contact still takes place.
Pleasant, informative personnel.
Prompt attention. Visit Nancy Gatara.
The lady came to see us was totally efficient. To be honest we don't know enough about it to know whether it could be bettered. We were satisfied.
The carers are very helpful and kind. Always ready to give you any advice to help matters. They let the patient wash herself, once they've repaired the flannels etc. Some patient are very independant and the carers go along with them. Ready to help when asked. They put their hands to do any job you want doing. Washed few pets, clean up etc. Put dirty washing in machine. They sit and talk to patient to communicate.
Helen is always on time/prompt with appointments.
Always calls back when messages are left on her answer phone.
Calls for updates on mums condition.
Very approachable nurse.
Flexible with appointments for family convenience.
Having taken care of my mum for over 2 years I felt as though no-one cared or believed she was no longer able to look after herself.
This changed immediately once the memory assessment team became involved and things moved quickly after that.
My mum is now receiving care 4 times per day which has taken the pressure off me even though she has for the moment, refused to go to respite care or even a day centre. The help and advice we received from the team - and the admin nurse (Vicky) was exceptional/
Vicky in particular explained the process of Alzeihmers in a very easy to understand format both in the way we could react to odd behaviours and helping us to understand the way mums mind was changing her perceptions of every day experiences.
I really can't thank you all enough, you make life bearable again. Many many thanks.
