I always find the staff at QA lovely the nurses are lovely always makes you feel at ease.
The staff does an outstanding job and that a lot of valuable tips were given by NICU staff to the patient and their family.

We were regularly updated and kept fully up to speed with our child’s health. Everything was explained in a manner we could understand and everyone we came into contact with was friendly and very reassuring which had a massive impact on both myself and my partner during our time at the Starfish Ward as the first few days were particularly stressful due to our child’s deteriorating health.
I was put at ease by the consultant before the hearing test and was given an explanation of my current situation and how to get the best out of my aids.
Every thing was great, all my needs were fully catered for.
I had an early appointment and was seen at the time given, the staff were friendly and informative.
I was given all the information I needed, I took all the information that was required to complete my pre op assessment.
the only drawback is that a date for the surgery cannot be given at the pre op assessment, why is that, it would save time and money form backroom staff.
My appointment card said 11-00 am. I walked to the reception desk and within two minutes my name was called. Basic stuff; height, weight, BP by a very efficient but friendly nurse, explaining it was all about pre-op prepping. Back in the waiting room for five minutes before I was called a second time. Lovely nurse who went into greater depth with a lot of questions for everything she needed to know, while explaining to me why she needed to know these things. Finally bloods, a packed (or so it appeared) waiting room, yet withing ten minutes max my number came up. Five minutes in the cubicle and two phials of blood down, and I was on my way out of QA.
Considering the under-funding and lack of staff the NHS has to operate under I feel my treatment could not have been better. One very satisfied patient.
The staff were wonderful and friendly I cannot praise them enough and didn’t keep me waiting .
