Respectful and helpful doctors who I felt comfortable seeing.
Over a period of time it took many visits to our local G.P. to recognized my husbands memory problems. When I again took my husband in June 2019 to another doctor in the practice he at once recognize my husband needed help, and referred him to Daventry Memory clinic. Following a brain scan he eventually saw Dr. Jod on 7th November and was told he has Alzheimer.
From then on his treatment has been very good. Sadly beforehand I feel a lot of time was wasted before he was correctly diagnosed, and maybe my husbands condition would not have deteriorated so much if his condition had been recognized sooner.
Khoosal remembered me despite not having seen me for a few years and made me feel very cared for - the conversation didn't feel like a box-ticking exercise despite it needing to meet certain requirements. He seemed to genuinely care about my wellbeing and life updates and gave me good advice regarding upkeep of my own health care (e.g. remembering blood tests).
Fix the waiting times, and try to avoid gatekeeping trans people with RLE requirements.
All doctors are informed, respectful and good at what they do - same for the receptionists.
Friendly and helpful Dr Vaidya going out of his way to find out information.
Information was handled appropriately and sensitively discussed.
Appointment was in good timing and was not warmly for long unlike previously.
