Treated with kindness and respect at all times. Lovely staff! Great hospital.
All staff very pleasant and helpful.
I was absolutely well looked after and everyone was kind and caring.
I think [name removed]'s been great and I wish him well in his future role, like all trans people I'm just frustrated by the waiting lists and the slow pace of doing this via the NHS.
Thank you for your comments. Both historically and presently, recruitment of Speech & Language Therapists into gender services nationally has been challenging, due to a dearth of SLT's expressing an interest in working in the field. NHFT GIC are currently on their second round of recruitment efforts to increase SLT capacity. The resident SLT has now returned from leave and is working their way through the backlog of referrals, which unfortunately is substantial in nature.
Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that the waits are long, which is a national issue. However, I have sent your comment about SALT to the service manager to review. Best wishes, Hugh Jones, Patient Experience Manager.
Having been in constant pain for 20 months following a nasty fall, it was firstly a huge relief to feel that someone understood and empathised. [name removed] gave me the belief that my mobility could be improved and that I might not have to just live with it. I followed the exercises to the letter and can’t believe the difference after just a few weeks. I am so grateful.
It just was, you know. Felt listened to and seen and acknowledged - thank you Dr. [name removed].

My care provider was respectful, but the services on offer are inadequate.
Thank you for your feedback. Bridging prescriptions do require the prescribing clinician (usually the GP in these cases) to be comfortable with undertaking this responsibility. As such, NHFT GIC does provide GPs with supportive guidance on how to undertake this practice safely. Nonetheless, the GIC cannot take clinical responsibility for patients whom it has not yet had the opportunity to assess and diagnose Gender Incongruence themselves.
Thank you for your review. I have passed your comment to the service manager to consider. Best wishes, Hugh Jones, Patient Experience Manager
