There was a 3 hour wait and the chairs are not the most comfortable for such a long wait..
My Son, Louis recieved excellent care, ho doesnt tend to like going to doctors or having medicine , however he seemed relaxed and took medicine easily, and mangaged a smile for the doctor. They treated him age and srage appropriate and the treatment was un hurried. Also he loved his bear very much!
I recently spent a day in the Surgical short stay unit to have a prostate biopsy under general anaesthetic. Everybody from Admissions to Theatre staff treated me with great care & kindness, and the professional way they carried out their duties quickly dispelled my apprehension prior to arrival. The nurses, and the nurse in charge of the ward, deserve special mention.
My sincere thanks to all for the A1 attention I received.
Visited hospital to have blood tests taken for my daughter. We were advised before arriving that phlebotomy opening hours are 8-4.30pm. Arrived around 4pm and told they were closed. Explained that need to have these bloods taken and had left work early to arrive at hospital. After some deliberation, bloods were taken but the nurse was very abrupt, short and rude. Talking to me like she was doing me a favour. My daughter was in a lot of pain whilst blood was being taken but nurse was just not interested. Absolutely appalled by service received and the attitude of nurse and receptionist in phlebotomy dept.
Staff should not be taking out their stresses with workload on the patients. My children and I left with what I can describe as the worst experience in a hospital.
I am 85 years old and totally blind. From my point of view Crawley Hospital was totally exemplary. My treatment was efficient, unflustered, reassuringly friendly and, but for my slight injury, an experience I would wholeheartedly recommend. obviously, I cannot comment upon the degree of cleanliness; my 3-star entry was to keep the software happy!
Although it took many visits to get my hearing aids working right I found the staff were always patient and helpful
The Urgent Care Centre has to be a centre of excellence.
This type of establishment is the best of the NHS,
Who wants private care with this on ones doorstep?
Carry on with the best of care.
Not enough staff.
