I presented to CGH A&E on 11 April with a suspected colon blockage following an operation at QEH Birmingham on1 April to reverse my ileostomy bag. I was very impressed with the bedside manner of the staff and the thoroughness of the procedures involved in A&E which included Blood Pressure/Pulse, ECG, Blood Test, X-Ray, CT Scan. Time from reporting to A&E Reception to being admitted to Prescott Ward was just over 3 hours which is very impressive. Staff on the ward were equally courteous and professional in their approach not only to myself as a patient but also to the task in hand. I felt that I was being very well looked after. Congratulations and very well done to everyone involved.

The staff were very considerate, allowing us as carers to go into the room where the procedure took place with the patient so he was not frightened.

No 'not applicable' option, eg for outcome / treatment (na for routine breast scan) so some questions marked neutral. this does not indicate dissatisfaction. Quite object to being charged £2 parking for half a hour in and out!!!

It was my first time to this department and due to an administrative error was kept waiting for 40mins while a replacement member of staff was found, and then my therapist had to speed through the appointment before leaving to go on to her next, other than that it is very professional .
