Review of Chedworth Suite written by a patient
1st April 2016

I could not have got better care than i received, and everyone from the porter to the consultant and everyone in between were kind, compassionate and seemed to love their job and want to take the best care of me. Even a man pushing a cart of laundry across the car park stopped to ask us if we wanted any help finding the right department when we were looking at a map trying to work out where we were.. The only comment i would make is something no one can do anything about - lack of space/privacy in the cubicles while waiting. I was so close to my neighbouring patient i could not read or rest as my bed was actually pushing the curtain between us sideways, and i could feel her visitors as they were moving around. But i completely understand there is little you can do about space when you are trying to help as many people through their ops as you can as we dont want to have to wait too long on a list. But, we were all looked after well, everyone introduced themselves with lovely welcoming smiles and alwaysdid checks of date if birth etc so i felt so safe and looked after. Thank you all for making one of the worst days if my life as good as it coul possibly be. Xx

Review of Ryeworth Ward written by a family member
31st March 2016

Despite regular attempts to engage with staff about discharge planning the first active contact received was a week after admission on the day of discharge to say where I was going. The arrangements had been put in place by daughter in law with no help from the ward other than booking transport. When visited on several occasions I was found to have been incontinent under my chair. No attempt at active rehab appeared to have been made
