Share review of Chapel Allerton Hospital
Lots of reassurance, Encouraged to be proactive in my recovery. TLC in ward immediately after theatre was very good. It helped me feel more confident when I was moved to rehab. Prior to my operation everything was clearly explained. Staff were all professional, reassuring and made me feel safe. This played a big part in helping me feel OK in recovery and rehab.
What could be improved. The anesthetist told me to clear with physio that I needed pain meds 1/2 hrs before exercise to start with. First physio agreed, we worked out how this could happen. Different physio was busy, said he had a meeting. I found I had to be very assertive and was eventually given pain meds, he then did not return. A very negative experience. Third physio was great, she answers queries and was very positive and encouraging.
Notice you don't ask/record sexuality, studies show that LGBT clients prefer this.
