The reception staff are rude and aggressive. They made my 70 year old mother cry after she had spent 2 days trying to get a doctor to phone her back. When they phoned her back they told her she had to go on line, she is 70 and doesn’t go online and asked if they could just get her an appointment. This went on for 20 minutes before they hung up on her. She is due medication and has now said that she will never go into the practice or phone them again. Now I need to get her medication and prevent her getting worse. We all have stressful jobs if these people can’t handle it don’t work on reception at a GP practice!! Every person you’re rude or dismissive to is going through something medically that is worrying enough without dealing with additional stress and anxiety due to reception staff being absolutely ridiculous when trying to get simple things done.

Suggested improvements
GET BETTER STAFF, SACK THE ONES NOT PERFORMING TO TGE REQUIRED STANDARD!! THERE ARE PLENTY OF PEOPLE LOOKING FOR JOBS OUT THAT. OTHERWISE…YOU WONT HAVE ANY PATIENTS TO LEFT. BY THE WAY TRAINING WONT CHANGE THE ATTITUDE PROBLEMS THE STAFF AT FRONT OF HOUSE HAVE.
