I have had good and bad experiences at this surgery. My most recent visit, around 6 weeks ago, the doctor I saw (who is now retired), wasn't much help at all. I asked to be referred to the NHS for an ongoing mental health issue and was refused as was told "this would only be a temporary fix and you're best seeking help by paying for treatment yourself". It was also suggested I start again on medication. So a GP would rather put you back on medication and let you pay for treatment yourself than refer you to the NHS for treatment, which I am entitled to? At the time I was quite emotional, so not really what I wanted to hear. I didn't have the strength to question it at the time. On the positive side, the nurses are amazing and really lovely. I've never had an issue with the receptionists personally, but a couple of them can come across as slightly short when you approach them at the front desk.
