The receptionist get a lot of stick but do a brilliant job . A great practice.
I had 2 issues just with getting 1 prescription, in which the doctors firstly did it wrong and then secondly rejected my request for it to be adjusted to make it correct.
However, the reason for this review is to say thank you to the lovely receptionist who I spoke to on the phone on the 3rd and 4th of September. She was so friendly and and easy to talk to and got the issue with my prescription finally solved. She was definitely the nicest and most friendly receptionist I have spoken to at the surgery so a big thank you to her.
I find the practice on the whole very good.
But I order my medication online via My Repeats and find the service very poor.
On so many occasions after I go to the chemist to collect my prescription I am told they have not received the request from Tadworth Medical Centre. On this occasion I ordered on 20th April had confirmation of the order and then going to the pharmacy today 28th April was told they hadn't once again received anything through from the GP surgery. On ringing Tadworth they said they hadn't received my request.
This surgery is absolutely shocking.
If you are extremely lucky enough to call and get though you still need to be lucky to get a appointment time.
Staff seem to think they have every right to know your symptoms and give you a appointment accordingly.
They also ask your age for some reason.
The staff including the some of the doctors seems to have no sense of urgency.
Will happily be walking around socially talking and making a cup tea while you are waiting... I understand we all need to drink but my appointment was for 8.40 and and is already running 15 minutes late! Avoidable! This is a constant trend at this doctors, delay delay delay.
My father has been cared for by Tadworth Medical Centre for many years. I would like to commend the care he has received by particularly Dr Chase and at other times Dr Anderson and Dr Freeman. They are very caring GPs. Receptionists have always been helpful. I certainly understand the restraints of all surgeries. If anything could be improved it would be the appointment system. I have often queued at 8.00am with my elderly father to get an appointment. If it could be improved that would be great.
