It would help patients greatly if the telephone appointment service were to be improved, calls on occasions can take over 30 minutes to be answered. When during busy periods, telephone calls should still, as a matter of courtesy be answered.
The care and attention given by one of the principal doctors was excellent. There was no sense of being rushed.
I phoned at 8.30 and asked to see Dr Shabrokh, a) who I am registered with & b) who I like to see when possible. Much to my delight I got an appointment with him. I know it is often not possible, but I do like to see him when I can, he has got to know me over the years and I like the continuity of the same doctor.
When you are waiting for an appointment as the surgery opens there are 2 receptionists at the window and usually 2 at the back, but it always seems that the 2 at the front answer the phones so therefore walk ins still have to wait. I think a better idea would be that either 1 answers the phones and the other deals with the walk ins or the back receptionists deal with the phones and the front 2 deal with the walk ins.
The radio should not be on first thing as half the time the receptionists dont hear what you say so therefore have to repeat again.
There is no service at this practice It is totally impossible to get an appointment, even in advance. I have a serious condition I wish to discuss and be able to manage. I have received no help at all from my Doctor and its looks as if I shall now have to have another prolonged period trying to get an appointment by visiting the surgery, no doubt on numerous occasions before this can be achieved
