not always recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, informed by the nurse Helen (very good nurse) that if I have any problems make an appointment. well as i have never been on metformin before I read all the gumf in with the tablets., including adverse reactions well my body didn't like these tablets and i started to get what seemed like a reaction. so when i tried to make an emergency appointment i was told it was a 2 week waiting list. which could have proven fatal. if all the information available was to be believed. medication changed to "Glucophage" no problem with these. although I know metformin is the generic name.
