Having recently joined the surgery I was worried what it would be like but the receptionists are so friendly and the doctor I see is very thorough.
I can always get an appointment and my repeat prescriptions have never been messed up unlike the previous doctors I was with.
All the Medical and Nursing staff at Southend Boulevard are caring, effective, understanding and explain their diagnosis/treatment in a professional/sympathetic manner. Unfortunately, although, in the minority, a few of the reception staff do not share the same attitudes and they can reflect negatively on the entire practice. I was "told off" for not being able to easily understand "their" repeat prescription process within earshot of a busy waiting area. In saying that, I would never change practices as I have complete trust in the Boulevard.
Thanks.
I am under Dr,Alwan who looks after me very well and he understands my problems. I have a number of ailments HE KEEPS EVERYTHING IN CONTROL FOR ME. I AM REMINDED FOR BLOOD TESTS AND SIX MONTHLY CHECK UP BY THE NURSE VIA MY REPEAT PERSCRIPTION when the test is due. Great surgery. friendly receptionist and I do not need to tell my name as soon as I enter the surgery they know who I am and gets details from computers straight away
I am under Dr. Alwan who I have great confidence in. He always listens to me and takes the time to explain, in detail, the cause of my ailments and probable outcome of the medication and treatment he recommends.
I would also like to mention that all the nurses that have attended to me have been very professional and caring.
The online prescription ordering service is fantastic and it's good that you can also book online, unfortunately trying to get an appointment with a particular doctor is impossible in less than a month. Receptionists leave a lot to be desired. Dr Alwan and Dr Turner are both exceptional but sadly that means you can't get an appointment with either of them very easily.
