Ongoing health issues for 3 years. I joined this surgery August 2019 in the hopes of getting better healthcare and finally being listened to about the issues I've been and am still having. Instead, I have been spoken over and dismissed by several receptionists and my GP - Dr Malik. He refuses to see me or treat me even after another professional has requested it. For a basic test to be done, he had to be asked by two secondary care providers, myself, and then told by another care professional, only then did he finally put in a referral for the test. He believes that because I'm under the care of a secondary care provider (who he referred me to only because another doctor told him to) he no longer has the responsibility to treat me or see me for anything. Including a simple urine test, blood tests, etc. I have been told by other health professionals that it is highly unprofessional of him and that my healthcare is still his responsibility, as he is my primary health provider. I have been bounced back and forth between Dr Malik, out of hour GPs, A&E nurses, and more. I am highly disappointed with the level of care that Dr Malik provides, considering he has his own surgery. He got fed up with me constantly having appointments for the same thing, when he has done hardly anything for me because he has refused. And then when he finally (after several months of me and my partner asking him) referred me to a specialist, he wiped his hands of me. Obviously this isn't recorded on my medical record because it would make him look bad, but he actually said to me that anything from now on will be dealt with by the specialist team, and he will no longer be treating me. Fuming. The specialist team is there to treat me for two issues out of however many that he has ignored time and time again. I would not recommend anyone to be seen by Dr Malik at all! It is that bad, to the extent that he refused to even speak to me via telephone, so he got a receptionist to call me instead, who was incredibly rude and had no bedside manners whatsoever. I will be placing a complaint.

My daughter in law uses this practice and the way she has been treated by your reception staff is absolutely appalling. One in particular, is very rude, condescending and my daughter in law now refuses to ring if this lady answers phone. I can see this is also an issue with lots of other patients. I will be reporting the receptionist to PALS so that she can be removed from working with public. My daughter was 40 weeks pregnant during Covid 19 lockdown. She was so scared of catching COVID or the new baby and was terrified of going into hospital. All of the worry has caused her to suffer from extreme anxiety. She was not seen after the birth by a midwife, health visitor, doctor or nurse due to Covid 19. Her anxiety is getting progressively worse. I asked her to ring the surgery and request an urgent face to face appointment. The receptionist was obnoxious and down right rude to my daughter and told her “no face to face appointments” and was questioning her reason of seeing a doctor. A telephone call was booked. When the doctor rang on FaceTime she could see how distressed and upset my daughter was and gave her a face to face appt immediately for later today. When my daughter told them she wasn’t allowed a face to face appointment, the doctor was very surprised and stated face to face appointments were still bookable. Why would this woman work in a public place, when she obviously goes out of her way to be obnoxious. She is a liability to your service. I have complained once and nothing was done. Now I’m going to take the matter further to ensure this woman does not cause distress to anybody else.

Upon arrival to the surgery, we were stood at the reception kiosk for around 10 minutes until we were greeted. When the receptionist finally arrived, there was no apology for the inconvenience and wait, this was not the first time this had happened. When we had finally entered the room for the appointment, we was spoken to in an unprofessional manner by both the nurse and the doctor. Secondly, the nurse was argumentative with the patient who I was with, therefore this shows that the professionalism and duty of care has not been for filled during this appointment. Lastly before all obligations were not succeeded. The appointment was finished early, and we was told the following “ we are not doing this, the door is there and twist the handle to the right”. As stated above, duty of care was not delivered to the patient. If you are considering to attend this health care clinic, then I would think again about going to this practice before wasting your time.

I attended for diabetic review but computer was down so no test results. No records of any kind including blood pressure, blood tests, urine tests etc . I agree I attended the appointment but the review was abandoned as the base test results were not accessible . I was asked to re-book which I attempted, but the appointments system was also down. So was told to rebook review following day. Next day "sorry but you did attended diabetic review and its ticked on computer as being complete" now you have to wait a year for next. The review is recorded as completed on computer records even though it has not taken place. No discussion of test results took place and no discussion of current medication problems/ side effects took place. Reception only offered a medication review in 10 weeks time. I'm furious how can medical records be falsified and practice condone and enforce the practice not to mention no discussion or investigation on medicine side effects.
