My recent treatment by Professor Winters has been absolutley first class. My treatment was undertaken in the current very difficult times, yet the Professor worked her way tirelessly through all obstacles, drawing on all her resources to achieve my surgery. She was attentive to every detail of my condition and treatment, which inspired confidence at every stage. I received regurlar updates on how my treatment would progress. The Professor addressed my concerns (and my unspoken anxieties) during the whole process. I am so thankful for her empathy. I would also like to highlight the exceptional input from Jenny, the Practice Manager, from my first call, for her professionalism, warmth and accessibility and throughout.

Diagnosed with breast cancer... and received first-class, reassuring, prompt and amazing consultative and surgical care, backed up by super administrative support. Even in these challenging times for us all, tests undertaken, questions addressed and answered patiently, results shared and plan of action clear. I could not rate Professor Winters more highly. I am so grateful that despite having recently moved out of London, I was referred to Prof Zoe Winters at her one stop breast clinic at The Lister Hospital. After the initial shock of finding a small lump in my breast Zoe looked after me superbly throughout. She had the perfect balance of caring approach and directness which enabled me to understand what we were dealing with and how she would proceed. It was of course a daunting prospect to learn that I needed surgery but all the way through she explained exactly what needed to be done and why. I am so grateful for her exceptional care.

Dr. Winters did a lumpectomy and re-excision in one of my breasts and the work was really good in terms of the aesthetic results and speed recovery. As a private patient it was also great that she provided me with contact details so I could have a constant communication with her as needed. Also, as time progressed she realized I liked to understand the results and rational behind recommendations so she shared with me scientific data. The only reason I do not give her the top marks is because when I received the bad news of my cancer diagnosis, I missed some empathy and reassurance. I would have been great to know that that point that the cancer characteristics meant it was highly treatable, that most people with those characteristics survive, etc...Also as a first point of contact for the patient, a bit of guidance on how the system works (i.e. the role and interaction a patient will have with the different oncology specialists- e.g, surgeon, oncologist, radiologist, etc.-) would have made it a bit easier as well to understand why some decisions could not be taken by her.
