Mrs Johnson assessed the mucoid/ mucal/ myxoid cyst present on my left index finger - on the joint just behind the fingernail. She discussed the options in detail and I opted to have the root of the cyst surgically removed. The surgery day at the Montefiore Hospital in Hove was local anaesthetic and went. I had a big finger bandage for ten days and then had the stitches out. No problems recovering and my finger is fine. I've been back to swimming/ golf/ cycling and walking and the finger joints have recovered full flexibility.
