An initial consultation as an outpatient surrounding very painful elbows (bursitis and gouty deposits) recommended surgery.
This was conducted, as day surgery, within a relatively short space of time and has made a huge difference.
My only observation is that as my surgery was fairly late in the day (around 3.30pm) I was subsequently discharged around 8pm without an appointment to re-attend or any advice on what to do or not to do with my arm which was in plaster cast.
Subsequent calls to the ward over the next few days were met with very helpful staff who eventually advised.
Overall very positive - just a minor point ref discharge.
I am very greatful to all staff involved and Dr. Matthews.
