I found Mr Hone very approachable. I felt very reassured to see an ENT specialist who understood my difficulties. He explained things fully and was very thorough. His report followed the next day and was very detailed with a clear suggested way forward.

It was quick and easy to book a consultation with Mr Hone at the One Ashford Hospital via his Secretary Rebecca. Mr Hone was very friendly and professional. He listened to my concerns and quickly diagnosed the problem and gave me the necessary treatment. I felt very comfortable with him as he has a very friendly manner.

I would not hesitate to recommend Mr Hone. I felt at ease. Mr Hone talked through each procedure he was going to do. Most of all he listened something sadly my own Dr doesn’t seem to have time to do.
I felt very confident to the way forward with any possible treatment or outcome.

Robert Hone is a Consultant ENT surgeon at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust and has over 10 years surgical experience. He trained throughout South East England, rotating through ENT units in London, Kent, Surrey and Sussex.
He undertook a prestigious, nationally appointed Advanced Head & Neck Surgical Oncology Fellowship at the Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead. He completed his paediatric ENT training at Great Ormond Street Hospital for children. During training, he completed a Masters of Surgery, for which he attained a Distinction as well as all necessary post graduate exams. He qualified from Guy’s, Kings and St Thomas’ Hospital School of medicine in 2008 and completed an intercalated Batchelor of Science degree in Physiology in 2005.
Robert Hone believes in the highest standard of care and places patients at the centre of the consultation and decision making process. He takes time to listen and explore patients concerns and symptoms via a thorough history and examination.
