My first meeting with Mr Paul Thiruchelvam was at 10am, Thursday 12th December 2019. Unfortunately, Mr Thiruchelvam had to tell me and my husband that I had cancer in mr right breast...the news we all dread and fear. The team that support Mr Thiruchelvam, my children nicknamed ‘The A Team’ and Mr Thiruchelvam himself, ‘Mr T’. I have been blessed to be in the care of the most dedicated, most researched professionals; the very best in their field. As a patient, I was in no doubt that I was in the best possible hands and would receive the very best treatment to eradicate my cancer. Mr Thiruchelvam, throughout my consultations and operations has given both my husband and I the necessary encouragement, emotional support, ensuring us both, at all times, that I have all the relevant facts, information enabling me to make the right informed decisions on what procedures, treatment and surgery I should have to treat the cancer. Everybody I have met and dealt with have been beyond excellent, exceptionally polite and considerate. Throughout my entire journey I have felt completely enveloped in their self-sacrificing compassion to ensure I am given the very best care. Being told you have cancer is life changing, you feel unusually vulnerable, your life is turned upside down and inside out. However, I can say with complete confidence that Mr Thiruchevam and his Team (The A Team), will get you through the cancer rollercoaster journey; your future will become brighter having been blinded by your own fears. Mr Thiruchelvam’s own professionalism, knowledge and humaneness will embrace and comfort you, giving you the necessary strength to remain positive and strong throughout all the tests, surgery and treatment you may have to endure to combat your cancer. I owe my life and my future with my dear husband and children to Mr Thiruchelvam and his team. From the bottom of my heart, I truly Thank you....
