Following a misdiagnosis by the NHS for many months, I consulted Mr Neal Jacobs who diagnosed a torn Achilles tendon He explained that I could have an operation to repair the tendon but advised that I should try wearing a VACOped boot together with regular physiotherapy.
After ten weeks I had a follow up visit with Mr Jacobs who advised that I could dispense with the boot as the Achilles tendon appeared to be healing. I am continuing with the exercises and gradually extending the range of walks that I do to ensure a complete recovery.
My thanks to Mr Jacobs, the physiotherapists and all the team at New Hall Hospital.
Great experience start to finish, thank you very much. Mr Neal took the time to listen to what my issues were, knowing how important it is for me to get back to what I love doing.
Mr Jacobs was efficient and understanding.
I am pleased with the outcome of my foot surgery.
His team treated me very well and the pain relief was excellent.
Highly recommend.
I was treated with care Mr Jacobs offered me three types of treatment for my bunion, due to my weight blood pressure Mr Jacobs and his team did it under a local.
Other than my follow up appointment which was meant to be 6 to 8 weeks it actually took 13 weeks to be seen, that is not a complaint, as I am an ex hospital worker so I know and understand how these delays can occur.
My follow up appointment xrays and actual appointment was all carried out very promptly and professionally I was really amazed how smoothly everything went yesterday 11th October.
Mr Jacobs really listened and took time to talk me through every aspect of my injury and recovery. I felt very reassured by him .
