Dr Phadnis was one of the best doctors I have seen in the NHS. He was the perfect amount of caring but extremely clear his professional opinion and with discussing future options. I felt extremely comfortable and confident in his hands.

Mr J. Phadnis has delivered great care. A frozen shoulder and constant pain put my life on hold for a year. I’m so pleased I took the decision to take this further and Mr J. Phadnis has been essential in repairing my shoulder in 3 steps. I’m now pain free and will start sports again in 2022. Mr J. Phadnis is a good listener, focussed and practical. Thank you!

This doctor has been very patient with me, listening to all of my worries and every detail in regard to my elbow, especially before surgery. What is interesting is that he had multiple possibilities for that surgery (which he explained to me after listening to me), and chose to proceed with them strategically: inspect the state of my elbow, and chose the best solution depending on the gravity. The first thing he did after I woke up, was to show me that he brought a solution to my worries by physically moving my arm so I could see by myself and be reassured, which made it much easier for me to rest. He requested to see me again and check on my elbow, and once again has been very patient and took the time to allow me to express myself, bringing to me constructive answers for my recovery. I didn’t feel stressed or scared at any point throughout the entire story. Great doctor.

I would thoroughly recommend Mr Phadnis. I am a GP and also a keen CrossFit athlete and completely snapped my medial elbow ligament and tendon (MCL and CMO tendon) at a CrossFit competition doing a weight-lifting movement. I saw Mr Phadnis on recommendation from another Orthopaedic Surgeon, he kindly fitted me in at short notice, discussed the options for managing my condition in detail. I had surgery (an Elbow MCL reconstruction with internal brace and repair of the tendon) a week or so later. I am now 3 months post surgery, my elbow feels normal in every day life and my arm is getting stronger again each day with regards to the gym. I am expecting a full recover in the next few months and being able to compete in CrossFit competitions later in the year. Thank you so much Mr Phadnis!

On arrival at my first appointment with Dr Phadnis in Hayward’s Heath in summer 2021, I was sceptical of the prospect I was ever going to receive help for my elbow injury which I had sustained in 2014. There was visible misplaced bone under the skin and previous doctors had told me I was fine. I had been seen twice at a&e in Brighton at the time of the injury and by other professionals in Eastbourne in 2020. Dr Phadnis was empathetic but also strictly professional. The risks of the procedure were explained to me in full detail and he was truthful in also advising that surgery may not reduce my pain. I felt extremely confident after researching Dr Phadnis’ experience in the medical field and continued to receive fantastic care from him once I was transferred to the Montefiore Hospital. On the day of the procedure Dr Phadnis came to check I was ok and informed me on approximately how long it would take and what I could expect on returning home from hospital. I really felt at ease whilst waiting for the operation after this considering I arrived at the hospital in the morning secretly anxious. Dr Phadnis checked in on me again after the procedure in the recovery room and assured me that it had been a success. One piece of bone had seemed particularly tricky to remove but I could see that Dr Phadnis was extremely pleased with his work which again relieved any anxiety I may have been experiencing. My quality of life has improved since my procedure as my pain is now minimal. I have not incurred any side effects or infection and my scar is extremely neat. I cannot fault Dr Phadnis at any stage of my care. He is professional, kind, honest and extremely talented in his field of work. I am a survivor of domestic abuse and suffer with PTSD. I do not generally like to be around men but Dr Phadnis never gave me any reason to feel alarmed, I was only ever reassured and made to feel safe at all times. By far the best Doctor I have ever encountered, I feel blessed to have received his expertise. Thank you so much!
