My son was referred to see Mr Haeney for his chest problems, he has no left pectoral muscles or breast muscle, his chest is concave on that side and he has an inverted nipple. My son's confidence is very low and he's made fun of at school through it. this is why my son as referred. Mr Haeney was excellent with my son and he explained everything to him, what he was going to do to him and why he did it. He was the only doctor that told us my son had Poland's Syndrome and he was born with it and that something could be done to improve the look of his chest, this made my son feel relieved with the outcome. He explained to all of us, in great detail, my sons options of what he could do to rectify the problem, this gave great confidence to my son, knowing that he can look normal. He has an excellent rapport with people and he makes you feel relaxed, reassures you in what can be done and gives you confidence that you will make the right choices. My son is thinking about the choices that Mr Haeney has given to him and hopefully his decision will be the right one for him, when it suits. I will feel assured, that when Mr Haeney does the surgery, my son will be in great hands. The only negative thing I would mention, is how long we had to wait, this was over an hour, but I suppose the wait was worth it!

After a serious motorcycle accident I was rushed to Hull Royal With a shattered lower left leg plus other breaks and dislocations. I was seen by Mr Haeney as well as Mr Sharma, With quite alot of tissue missing from my leg Mr haeney set about Harvesting muscle from my back and skin from various parts of my body. A big problem was blood flow to my foot having only been left with one working blood vessel intact. I was told of the serious consequences of the injury and that it was possible I could lose my foot or even my leg.Mr Haeney was confident from the start reassuring myself and my family from the start that he would do his utmost to save my leg. This all happened on the 4th July 2013 and here we are the 20th Nov 2014 walking out of Mr Haeney's clinic for the last time , he is very happy with the end result and so am I. I cannot praise Mr Haeney or thank him enough for what he did for me, I would suggest that the Hull Hospitals do everything in there power to keep him in hull. He is simply BRILLIANT.

Mr Haeney operated on our 5 year old son, he was patient with both him and us, he was happy to fully explain the procedure and talked to our son directly involving him in his care. We felt completely at ease whilst our son was in theatre and he quickly communicated how the operation went and that he was well. Dealing with children can at times be difficult and he was brilliant with us all.

Mr Haeney treated our daughter with the utmost courtesy and respect. His calming reassuring manner gave her the confidence to make her decision. His professionalism, obvious talent and expertise shone through.
