I was referred to James Haeney with wrist pain and unable to do tasks with that hand. Although I had been previously diagnosed with osteoarthritis he listened patiently and did tests. He said there was one of two things wrong with my wrist joint but as they were so close together it was difficult to say which. First he treated me for Dequervains disease starting with steroid injections which helped at first but eventually he operated to release the tendon. Unfortunately as time passed the pain returned and he had to proceed to operate again and remove a small bone in the wrist which was the other option. I am pleased to say now I have 95% movement back in my hand and am able to carry on with my life more or less as before. Before I saw him I could't even pick up a small plate with that hand. He promised me right from the beginning he would help me and although it took some time He has. Believe me TRUST HIM. He is a great consultant and a true gentleman and after talking to many members of staff is well thought of.
