I was referred to Mr Polyzois having been diagnosed with a frozen shoulder. Having a lot of experience of consultants I was a little apprehensive. However, from the first consultation I was treated with empathy, respect and kindness. The procedure of a capsular release was explained clearly to me and I was given the choice of how I wished to proceed .The operation was a success and I was surprised how much movement I have recovered so quickly. After my discharge Mr Polyzois took the time to ring and check I was okay. The aftercare has been excellent and I would recommend Mr Polyzois, the physiotherapy team and Runnymead hospital to friends and family.

Mr. Polyzois is a very personable consultant. From the first visit he made sure that I understood the shoulder rotator cuff repair treatment that he proposed and the procedures involved. The whole team were most friendly throughout what was a very successful operation. Mr. Polyzois, post operation, continued his caring attitude, boosting my morale when I felt I was not recovering as quickly as I should, and keeping my Physiotherapist and Doctor well informed. .

Mr Polyzois carried out a decompression subacromial on my right shoulder 4 weeks ago. I was extremely anxious about going through surgery as I am very active and love my exercise regime but it was becoming too painful. As soon as I awoke the pain had gone! The relief was instant! Of course, I am going through the post-operative healing process which will take a few more weeks, but, my expectations have been perfectly managed by Mr Polyzois and all of his support team. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Mr Polyzois for any future care and have complete trust in him. Thank you very much Mr Polyzois.

I went to see Mr Polyzois as a second opinion, having had rotator cuff repair operation on my shoulder 2 years previously by a different consultant. I had been given quite conflicting information previously, so to be told I needed a second operation on the same shoulder was not the news I wanted. Mr Polyzois was very personable and understanding, and really took time to explain to me in detail why the 2nd operation was in my best interests, and the results I could expect afterwards. The operation and aftercare I received from him and his team at the Runnymead Hospital in Chertsey has been outstanding.
