Mr Polyzois recently performed a surgery on my left shoulder and I couldn't be more pleased with the treatment I have received from him. I'm still in the process of gaining a full recovery but I am already feeling better than at anytime since the original injury. In all my appointments with Mr Polyzois he has been very friendly & taken time to fully explain everything to me. He has also patiently listened to & answered all my questions. I am very grateful to him & I would recommend him to anyone.

As a 79 year old having suffered increasing pain in my shoulder over many years, I contacted Mr Ioannis Polyzois at the Runnymede Hospital. He was very friendly and approachable and easy to talk to and listened very closely while I explained my problem. He sent me for x rays and an MRI. The results showed I had osteoarthritis in my shoulder joint and he told me about a shoulder joint replacement procedure. I agreed and he went through everything that would happen from the moment I was admitted until the discharge. I can honestly say I had no real pain even after the nerve block wore off. I never felt afraid or unsure at any time because Mr Polyzois was always available and has followed up with x rays and appointments to check all was well. I would recommend Mr Polyzois to anyone as I feel there is no better orthopaedic surgeon and always has time for his patients.

I saw Mr Polyzois regarding pain and limited movement in my wrist. He quickly put me at ease as he has a friendly approachable manner. Through questioning and listening whilst examining my wrist he made an initial diagnosis: the problem appeared to be tendinosis related. An MRI scan was needed to confirm this and he made arrangements for me to have the MRI the very next day. In the meanwhile he arranged for a splint to be worn and recommended anti-inflammatories to relieve the pain. Following the MRI confirmation of the diagnosis he discussed treatment options and asked for my opinion. My preference was to rest the wrist before trying other treatments, however as the wrist didn't improve during that period I saw Mr Polyzois at a follow up meeting where we discussed the alternatives. I opted for his recommendation of an ultrasound guided injection. This treatment was successful and I now have pain free movement of the wrist once again. I was very pleased with the care and treatment received from Mr Polyzois and would recommend him to others.

I had a bad fall injuring my right shoulder and cspine. Mr Polyzois recommended an excellent neuro surgeon and more importantly took very good care of me. I had quite extensive problem's with my right shoulder including reduced sensation in my right hand. I also had signigicant sleep problems due to the pain. Mr Polyzois repaired my shoulder with two surgeries and both times be provided excellent care.I am now pain free and have regained full function of my right arm and hand. My sleep is no longer interrupted as I can now sleep on my right side. I highly recommend Mr Polyzois not only for his therapeutic skills but he is also a surgeon who takes pride in the care he provides his patients. If I ever require orthopaedic care in future, I will certainly consult Mr Polyzois.

Mr Polyzois recently performed my 2nd surgery on my broken clavicle and I couldn't be more pleased with the treatment I have recieved from him. I suffered a bad break to my clavicle 18 months ago & had a plate fitted with screws by another surgical team at St Peters. Due to the extent of the damage there was still a non-union after 18 months. I was told I'd require more surgery & possibly a bone graft from my hip for it to heal fully. When Mr Polyzois performed my 2nd surgery he was able to do what was necessary without taking the bone graft. I was very happy with this outcome. I'm still in the process of gaining a full recovery but I am already feeling better than at anytime since the original injury. In all my appointments with Mr Polyzois he has been very friendly & taken time to fully explain everything to me. He has also patiently listened to & answered all my questions. I am very greatful to him & I would whole heartedly reccomend him to anyone.
