Though I didn’t know it at the time, I fractured my shoulder while skiing at Christmas. When I saw Mr Polyzois a month later, he immediately diagnosed the problem; however we decided to wait until the bone had fully healed before deciding on surgery, to tidy things up. This happened in late May. It was with trepidation that I was discharged from the Runnymede Hospital, as the nerve block had not worn off and I expected pain from the surgery. To my amazement, I had no pain, required no painkillers and was able to drive back for physiotherapy the next day without any problems. A week later, following quite strenuous work in the garden, I had some discomfort and was worried I’d overdone it. It turned out just to be the stitches pulling and, after they were removed, I had the best night’s sleep in five months! Mr Polyzois has been extremely polite and professional whenever I’ve seen him, accurately predicted the timescale for my recovery and gave me confidence that I would get back to normal. I cannot recommend him enough.

I am forever grateful for the wonderful care, attention and professional treatment I received under Mr Polyzois. After a terrible accident 8 months ago which resulted in severe shoulder injuries i’m nearly back to complete fitness and full joint mobility. What a genuine and skilled surgeon he is and I would recommend him to anyone. Thank you! Christine

My symptoms were diagnosed quickly and accurately, the recommended treatment worked perfectly, and my shoulder was back to normal in a matter of weeks. I would highly recommend Dr Polyzois.

Mr Polyzois has given me great care over a number of years and including number of treatments and operations. He has provided treatment for a cartilage problem, a major operation on my shoulder and more recently an operation on my elbow. All procedures were successful. I always found Mr Polyzois to be friendly, approachable and happy to discuss the medical issues. The only criticism I have is that he is over-busy and there is an extended waiting time to see him or to have procedures.

I have this April had my second operation with this brilliant Surgeon. I have been unfortunate to have had two bad shoulders. Both with different rotator cuff repairs needed. My first operation was a long recovery period with a big box to wear. But was worth the wait as I have regained full movement again with no nerve damage - my concern. This was listened to and I was reassured by Mr Polyzois it can happen but didnt! My second operation was a much quicker recovery period. Both of my operations were carried out at The Runnymede Hospital. I am now 8 weeks down the line and having some Physio to strengthen this repair. But I am so pleased with the results almost back to full movements before 6 weeks. Once strengthened by exercise it will be 100% like the first repair. Cannot recommend Mr Polyzois more highly.
