From the first meeting I was treated with respect and understanding of my injury, the treatment I received from start to finish was very good, from the meetings in the office to the surgery and after care.

I am now 18 weeks post operation to repair major rotator cuff tendon tears to my right shoulder. Mr Polyzois and his team have done a great job and I feel that I have indeed received great care. I had no complications following the arthroscopic surgery. After the intial immobalisation period, range of movement exercises have been successful and I am now well advanced in rebuilding the strength of the joint. Mr Polyzois has given clear information and advice and I have total confidence in him.

I will always be very grateful to the exceptionally skilled and talented Mr Polyzois for fixing my shoulder. I underwent a complex reverse shoulder replacement, for chronic shoulder dislocation at the end of June. It has been just over one month I am delighted with the results. Mr Polyzois is an outstanding surgeon. I was concerned about the operation as I am 75+ and considered high risk due to pacemaker and other issues. However, I wanted it done asap - I have always been very independent and the shoulder dislocation and 3 snapped tendons meant; I had to rely on others, I had no use of my arm at all, I could not sleep and the pain was unbearable at times. I went ahead with the operation privately as could not wait for another 3 or more months on the NHS, taking strong painkillers. Mr Polyzois ensured I had high-risk assessments and screening before surgery and put in place an excellent team. The anaesthetist (Mr Parris) was also incredibly kind and very professional. I was in no pain at all after surgery. They all looked after me very well at the Runnymede in Chertsey. Mr Polyzois was honest about the risks of operating and explained how complex the surgery would be. Due to his skills and knowledge I’ve had the best possible result and so much better than I had anticipated. I am now pain free and with a functioning arm – movement is getting better every day and I can use my arm well after 6 weeks. I will continue with physiotherapy for next few months (which was part of the care package Mr Polyzois put in place - an important part of recovery). Mr Polyzois must be the best in his field - he is an exceptionally talented, kind and professional surgeon. I cannot thank him enough.

This is the second shoulder replacement I have had by Mr Polyzois and I can't recommend him enough. Both operations have been a total success and made a great difference to my life. Mr Polyzois is kind and really listens to you.
