Mr. Polyzois was referred to me to treat my bursitis of my shoulder. He understood quickly what was needed. Initially, I received a steroid injection in my shoulder and he recommended that despite my pain, I should resume playing tennis. After a short delay due to problems with scheduling, I started physical therapy with returns to Mr. Polyzois every few weeks for reevaluation. Recovery was slow but clearly evident. At one point we scheduled an operation as a precaution against a possible halt to full recovery, but as the time to operate drew near, there was continued progress. Finally, about 5 months after starting treatment and therapy, I feel I have fully recovered my range of movement, and any residual pain in my shoulder is far diminished to the point where I expect it to completely disappear fairly shortly.

I received great care because my shoulder and elbow pain were terrible until i was treated by dr Polyzois. I received steroids injections to my shoulder and PRP to my elbow and this cleared the pain immediately. He was excellent at performing the injections.land. very good with the aftercare. she also referred me to a great physio which helped me further with some shoulders exercice.

Mr Polyzois who was my consultant, was very present by listening to my issues on my shoulder and explain clearly what needed to be done. Mr Polyzois came before and after the surgery to see me first to see if I had any questions before the operation and after to explain how successful the surgery went and gave the explanation of what he has done. As I never been operated before, I had to take his words. At the time, Mr Polyzois made it clear that I had to play my part by following the physio instructions as the surgery was 50% of the treatment and I had to do the other 50% with exercise given. During the weeks of recovery, Mr Polyzois was able to let me know if I was on track with my recovery which I needed as I was getting impatient with myself and not knowing if the pain afterwards was normal. Every time I left his office feeling positive. I can now confirm, the surgery was success as I fully recovered the movement of my arm/shoulder. BMI Runnymede hospital and Phisio were also amazing. Working in hospitality industry, i felt I was looked after like a customer as well as a patient.

After falling and breaking my shoulder I deem myself very lucky to have chosen Mr Polyzois to look after me ,..I couldn’t have been in better hands .. I found him to be an excellent surgeon who did an excellent job on my badly broken shoulder but it was the after care for which I will be always grateful ...as I struggled with the pain and slow improvement Mr Polyzois was always sympathetic and encouraging and was a huge factor in my ongoing recovery ... I couldn’t recommend him more highly .. Beverley Johnson

I had a major tear to my pectoral tendon and had left it quite late to get treatment, so I wasn’t sure if this injury would ever heal. After meeting Mr Polyzois he was very understanding and very realistic with any potential outcomes to my surgery results. Kept me fully updated with the steps involved with the procedure and the after care. It’s been 6 months since my surgery and I now have full operational usage of my arm and back in the gym training regaining strength everyday! Highly recommend Ioannis Polyzois
