Mr Polyzois took over my care after a mis-diagnosis by another gentleman which resulted in the shocking possibility that I may lose full use of my arm. Mr P was honest about the risk of the procedure due to the delay since the injury, and was very clear in explaining the alternatives available to me. Arranging the surgery was made very quick and easy, and thankfully it was successful. He was on hand to advise of the result and re-assure me before I left the hospital. The follow up appointments involved no waiting and again a clear explanation was given of what I should and should not do with the arm, and the timescale for recovery. He was also prompt in supplying letters to my GP, the physio he recommended and my insurance company, as I had to cancel a holiday due to the surgery. Having played rugby for 40 years I have been a fairly regular visitor to the operating table for various reasons and Mr Polyzois has been one of the best surgeons I have experienced. He appears to have the skill of a top surgeon but has retained the bedside manner of a good GP, which surgeons so often lose.
