Mr Polyzois was a fantastic surgeon. He explained what needed to be done and how the procedures would be dealt with. He was incredibly efficient, sometimes seeing me before my appointment time. When x-rays or physiotherapy were required he checked to make sure that things were progressing and was patient when other departments were busy. Even when he was called away to an emergency at another hospital, he phoned me to check if I was ok. Mr Polyzois gave me confidence from the first time that I met him; he knew exactly what he was doing and I never doubted his judgement.
