Mr Atkinson is very professional with a great ability to communicate. I found it very reassuring to have technical issues explained in an understandable way. Also it helped to have possible options and outcomes presented to me and to have my opinions considered. In my case it helped me to plan my post operation life and activities with confidence and positivity knowing that there would be manageable issues to deal with such as some pain and discomfort. To be honest I can't think of any criticisms as the department team and processes were both excellent for me. Thanks for allowing me to contribute. Ian Johnston

I have undergone successful surgery for Achilles tendinitis recently .This was the second time I have had a surgical procedure performed by Mr Atkinson ,and on both occasions I was very satisfied with my care. At all times I was treated with great consideration.I was given full and comprehensive explanation of the treatment, which proceeded as anticipated. I did have a complication post operatively, but this was dealt with appropriately and I was able to access Mr Atkinson for advice,even though he was on leave at the time. I would certainly seek treatment from Mr Atkinson for orthopaedic problems in future,should that be necessary.
