Dr. Atkinson has already helped me in two occasions operating to correct previous bunion, bunionette surgery plus joint fusions. I’m due to go under surgery again next week for a final correction of my left pinky toe and the removal of a staple on my left big toe. I’m concerned about the overall result of my pinky toe as it’s quite lifted up and needs tendon extension further fusion etc but I do trust this doctor (his expertise and detail) very much. After an unlucky incident at home, i was left with major trauma to my right knee. Mr Atkinson clearly and simply explained the injury and his proposal for repair. On the morning of the surgery, Mr Atkinson again explained the procedure to ensure i understood what was about to happen. I was confident that he knew what he was doing and he made me feel completely reassured, not only of his ability to complete the surgical procedure, but that whilst my recovery had a very high success rate, it was not going to be easy and was not going to quick!! I would highly recommend this Consultant Surgeon.

I underwent a knee replacement surgery performed by Mr Atkinson. Prior to the operation Mr Atkinson explained at length all the details involved in the procedure, highlighting the risks, and my options. He invited questions from me and answered them patiently with clarity and completeness. Following the operation he was very communicative and generous with his time and advice. I must add that Mr Atkinson has excellent communication skills, and it is evident that he cares for his patients a great deal.
