Mr Henry Atkinson, has got to be the best doctor/surgeon I have ever seen, he did my knee replacement, thoroughly explained everything to me, the care from when i hobbled into the door, to me walking out of the hospital is outstanding, his surgery is so neat,I cant thank this man enough for transforming my life,If you need a descent surgeon, you cant go wrong with this man, he cares for you as soon as he sees you, he talks my language rather than medical terms,and performs the best surgery.

I have just been discharged by Mr Henry Atkinson having had two TKRs under his care in November 2019 and November 2020. Mr Atkinson goes above and beyond with his duty to patients to ensure he explains their treatment and management every step of the way, listening and answering all questions. He is an extremely confident professional but also has a very friendly and easy going nature and made me feel very comfortable with his care and attention both before, during and after the two operations. He is an expert in his field and it has been a pleasure being under his care. I would not hesitate in recommending him to others or should the need ever arise, I would definitely see him again.

DATE OF OPERATION: NOVEMBER 2020 PROCEDURE: TOTAL KNEE REPLACEMENT HOSPITAL: CAVELL BMI ENFIELD PATIENT PROFILE: 68 year old male I am pleased to recommend the services of Mr Atkinson. From the initial consolation through to the final discharge, Mr Atkinson was the consummate professional. He explained the procedure I would undergo in full detail and answered all my queries so that by the time I entered the hospital I was fully aware of what I could expect. His explanation of the potential risks involved in the operation was particularly useful as was his realistic assessment of the pain which would likely follow such a procedure. The operation went well and with Mr Atkinson’s support, advice and encouragement I made excellent progress and I am now well on the way to recovery and looking forward to pain-free walks and exercise. Mr Atkinson is an outstanding professional and I would recommend him without reservation.

I can't thank Mr Atkinson enough for his care, which has culminated in a total hip replacement (Symbios). Over the course of treatment he worked to get the best course of treatment, which was trying steroids, whose effect was very short lived, before my quality of life was so affected that a replacement was needed. Seven weeks on I feel great, am walking without a limp, and have fantastic mobility. I do of course need to strengthen the gluteus muscles. Mr Atkinson was totally profession, obviously is very well informed, has a lot of clinical experience, and made things happen in terms of my care. He explained thoroughly my options beforehand and made sure that I received what I needed when I had a rough few days after surgery (because of low blood pressure, etc). I can't recommend him highly enough. I have no more shooting pain and am not waking at 3 and 4am like I was.
